Since India is an ethnically and culturally diverse country, it provides a culturally responsive education. Even the constitution of India guarantees equality in education. Hence, the purpose of the study were to analyze the Indian institutes competence in imparting education to culturally diverse students belonging to different nationalities and to understand international student’s perception towards a culturally responsive education provided. The findings presented in this paper results from a solid set of data collected from the opinions of students hailing from 11 countries across the globe. This research is done by the means of in depth interviews of International Students perusing their higher education in variant streams from different institutions/universities within India. All the interviewed students were rather comfortable to interact with their local peers and even established meaningful friendships with them. According to them living in India was meaningful and provided an understanding of multiculturalism. Present study also identifies that the institutional highlights and the constitutional guarantees are unnoticed by the international students.
